Liam joins Via Moto Racing for 2019 National Superstock 600 championship

Birmingham motorcycle racer Liam Delves, still only 18 years old, is to join Sheffield based Via Moto Racing to contest the 2019 National Superstock 600 championship.

Liam made his debut in the 600 series towards the end of the season last year, scoring points in two of the three races he contested. So is looking forward to contesting the new season on the Kawasaki.

Liam will campaign the Kawasaki in the team alongside, Joe Sheldon-Shaw pictured above with Via Moto owner, Matthew Gilder. The team took Joe to the runner up spot in last year’s championship with Joe staying with the team and making the step up to the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 series.

Via Moto are stockists of Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa and Piaggio plus Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki and have three sites across South Yorkshire and Derbyshire. The flagship store in Sheffield has just had a quarter of a million pounds invested featuring a superb new workshop facility where they can service, upgrade or restore any bike as well as being an official service centre for Piaggio, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa, Suzuki and Kawasaki.

Liam commented: “I am really happy to join Via Moto Racing and keen to get started. I am looking forward to working with the team and getting out testing. Testing will give me a great opportunity to be able to get settled on the bike before we start proper racing.”

The series is to run over 12 rounds, the first of which is over the Easter weekend.

Round 3 – Donington Park – May 24-26
Round 4 – Brands Hatch -June 14-16
Round 5 – Knockhill – June 28-30
Round 6 – Snetterton – July 19-21
Round 7 – Thruxton – August 2-4
Round 8 – Cadwell Park – August 16-18
Round 9 & 10 – Oulton Park – September 6-8
Round 11 – Donington Park – October 4-6
Round 12 – Brands Hatch – October 18-20
